The New School for Music Study, now a division of the Frances Clark Center for Keyboard Pedagogy, was founded in 1960 by Frances Clark and Louise Goss. It is located in the Princeton area (NJ) and is a not-for-profit community school specializing in music study at the keyboard and teacher training. Its 250 students (both children and adults) serve as the teaching laboratory for the Center.Its on-going work is research in music, in learning, and in the most effective music-teaching methods and materials. The school serves as a model school for university and preparatory departments across the country.
