The Non-Violence Project Uganda is a community based non profit organization inspiring and empowering youth and women in the poverty and violence ridden communities through education, skills training and peace building programs.For the last 7 years Nonviolence Uganda has impacted over 20,000 at-risk youth and women through her sustainable and engaging programs. We envision an environment where young people are inspired, empowered and engaged in positive action. we invite you to get involved through volunteering, donating or partnership.Current Projects:Skills Empowerment,Our Community Empowerment Centre is social venture aimed at reducing poverty, unemployment and violence in the slums of Buegmbe. By offering affordable skills and vocational training to the community we are able to run a self-sustaining entity helping to break the cycle of poverty in the area.Youth Outreach,This program is designed to seek out dis-empowered youths, who have been victims of drug abuse, sexual assault, crime and prostitution and help them to unlock the potential within themselves. Our programs which are coordinated with schools and the community work with young adult from 10 to 25 and help to teach them skills to enable their dreams.Community School,Our community school allows the poorest and most at risk of the community to access vital education. Many children who have been orphaned or affected by HIV/AIDS can not afford school fees, so our community school was set up with lowest possible fees to allow everyone to access an education.
