An international school in Rajkot, Gujarat (India) founded by Harvard Alums. For Northstar the goal of education is not to increase the amount of knowledge, but to create the possibilities for a child to invent and discover. In Dewey's words, we encourage the expression and cultivation of individuality of the learner as opposed to imposition from above; the pursuit of free activity as opposed to external discipline; learning from experience as opposed to solely from texts and teachers; and making the most of the present life as opposed to hollow preparation for a remote future.
