I MUST ADMIT, FROM HUMBLE BEGINNINGS, IT'S BEEN GREAT FUN TO WATCH OUR LITTLE COMPANY GROW OVER THE LAST 9 YEARS. We started out in a small house in Brentwood, that soon became over flowing with Woolies & Coles catalogues as well as Community newspapers, back then, you name it we delivered it. Along the way we had to base ourselves in a bus where I did the folding and Stephen delivered on a scooter. At one stage (because the rangers kept moving us on in the bus) we also based ourselves in a Koala storage unit using a Tillys lamp at night to fold the pamphlets as the storage units had no power! Which meant no coffee, which meant life was not good! Till we preserved and slowly business increased to the point where we were almost making some money….almost!A few years ago we bought a house on Karrinyup Rd, the first sign of stability…… and started to run the business from there, alas as had happened in all of our houses we outgrew it…..one day the shire came along and proclaimed the business too large for a domestic residents…..a happy/sad moment. Finally The Pamphleteers found a lasting home in our new Balcatta warehouse. Our little business has since grown to include a regular pamphlet distribution service to nearly 300,000 houses in 120 suburbs within the Perth metro area, delivering 1,500,000 pamphlets a month. We have, over the years, developed the most competent, complete and accurate independent distribution network in the state. All our scooter riders and walkers are contracted to The Pamphleteers and all are equipped with GPS tracking units. MOST importantly, the company has always been run as a family affair where everyone has their say and opinion on the day to day running of the business and ideas on how to improve it.It's always great to see young people grow and develop into confident decision makers.I can't wait to see what happens in the future….Best regardsCharles
