Music - Toronto, Ontario, Canada
In our mind, the largest portion of a musician's journey goes overlooked. Most can relate to the bedroom musician, and all have admired the polished live performer, but it's the journey between the two that we feel is worth documenting.Throughout the project, we're looking to do two things. Firstly, we want to meet those that have been there – understand their stories, their inspiration and their challenges. By profiling local musicians at various stages of their journeys, we hope to capture the separate parts of the musical process. Secondly, we want to meet those that have yet to embark on their journey – and can do so by joining us bedroom musicians as we create the soundtrack to the documentary. By means of social media, we'll put our unfinished product on display with a simple call-to-action: to those who believe they can contribute, we're looking for passengers. In the process, we'll be growing a local network of creatives who will come together to develop something better than we could have ever done alone. The Passenger Project is both a documentary and a social movement, encouraging collaboration, connection and curiosity.
