The Peace Watchers idea as a Community Safety App was developed out of the brokenness from watching the videos of George Floyd's murder. That pain will never be forgotten. I wanted to protect my loved ones from the Increasing Police Anxiety that was clouding our lives. One question was all it took; If I get pulled over would you pull up and keep watch to make sure I get home safe?What started as a 10 person idea quickly changed due to all 10 people having 10 more loved ones they wanted to add to the idea. After multiple hours of discussions with my Wife and Brother about the idea she just plainly asks me one day "Why don't you just make it an App for everyone to use?" A couple weeks of brainstorming then led to my Brother texting me, "Bro! Let's call it Peace Watchers!!" Beyond being a community safety app, The Peace Watchers is a community where we can discuss, share and support one another around the shared experience of fear and high level anxiety in our communities' relationship with Law Enforcement. I Pray that this is viewed by all as something that helps the anxiety of the person being pulled over and the anxiety of the Officer. The Peace Watchers sole purpose is for EVERYONE to get home safe.Thank you for joining us as we create community response solutions in our communities across the nation. We can't do this without you!
