The People Deal is an innovative organisation development consultancy based at The Studio, Loughborough University's Business Incubator. We are proud to be the only consultancy in the UK that provides a research-evidenced framework, tools, and training to advance fairness in the workplace. Already a team of five, we were voted a Top 50 Contributor at the CIPD Hackathon 2030 and are Finalists at the LeicestershireLive Awards in the category of Innovation in Education and Training Set up in 2019, our first year was dedicated to exploring the science and researching organisational fairness. We selected theories from psychology and other social sciences and completed a review of over 100 academic studies.We discovered that fairness positively impacts employees (satisfaction and well-being), strengthens relationships (connection and commitment) and results in highly desirable outcomes for organisations (productivity, performance, and engagement).Next, we created a practical Fairness First Framework™: We describe four solid foundations required for fairness to exist, five critical experiences that are (continuously) assessed by employees, and six shared behaviours that make fairness the responsibility of everyone in the workplace.We work with leaders from all sizes and types of organisations.
