The People's Bailout is a coalition of 1,000 signatory organizations, over 100 elected officials, and 1100 organizers committed to centering people, not profits, in relief and recovery efforts from the Covid-19 pandemic. To fight for legislation that follows our Five Principles for a Just Recovery: Health is the top priority, for all people, with no exceptionsProvide economic relief directly to the peopleRescue workers and communities, not corporate executivesMake a down payment on a regenerative economy while preventing future crisesProtect our democratic process while protecting each otherSince formation in May 2020, The People's Bailout has advocated for relief for those most impacted by the pandemic, economic recession, and the impacts of long-standing structural racism. Our goal is to build a mass movement that fights for relief, recovery, and renewal -- to solve the problems at hand and create a more just and equal economy to prevent these problems in the future.
