He completed his five-year apprenticeship at Freedman's Jewellers, a prestigious jewellery company in Johannesburg, before going on to build two prominent jewellery companies of his own, which he ran in South Africa for many years. With a trained eye for custom design, Martin is a highly skilled craftsman, who has had many years of experience on the bench.Barbara is an entrepreneur with over fifteen years of business experience to her credit. Her personable approach to customer service, along with her relationship-building skills, have helped shape The Perfect Gift into a strong community hub. With a deep appreciation for the finer things in life, she adds her trademark presentational flair to each wrapped gift that leaves the store. Along with Martin, she uses her eclectic and exquisite taste to source treasures from around the world and present them to Vancouver.
