We believe that the Bible is God's inspired Word, and it is to be the standard applied to our lives and ministry methodology. We believe that the greatest commandment in God's inspired Word is to love God with all our hearts, minds, souls, and spirits - and that this love for God must be demonstrated in our love for our neighbors and one another. (See 1 John 4:21, James 2:14-17) We believe that we must help the poor and collaborate with the international benevolent organization "MERCYWorldwide" (cf. mercyww.org) as each member is a "MERCY Ambassador" working with MERCY on local projects such as support the Sunshine Acres Orphanage with food drives, community service, and Christmas programs for the Orphans. The Phoenix International Christian Church is a part of the Soldout Discipling Movement of churches. This is a worldwide movement determined to evangelize our world in this generation in submission to Jesus' call of "making disciples of all nations" taught in Matthew 28:18-20. God our savior "wants all men to be saved and come to a knowledge of the truth" (1 Tim 2:4) and as a family of churches we raise missions to fund church plantings and send Christian missionaries out to plant churches both domestically and internationally. This plan of World evangelism is dubbed "The Crown of Thorns Project" and is modeled after the efforts seen in the first Century church as mapped out in the book of Acts. Jesus summed up the model in Acts 1:8 "...you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth." We view Los Angeles as the "Jerusalem" of our movement's efforts, and from there God has allowed the numerous plantings since beginning of the "Crown of Thorns Project" in 2009.
