The Photography of Eduardo Fujii showcases the lyrical imagery created by Eduardo Fujii, a fine art photographer living on the California central coast. Eduardo grew up with art. He started music lessons at the age of five followed by painting a few years later. It wasn't until late 2006, however, that he turned to photography as a form of artistic expression. Classical music and painting have been part of most of his life and underlie his photography today. Eduardo likes to call himself an "artist with a camera."Eduardo draws inspiration from various talented local photographers and painters like Mondrian, Picasso, Klimt, and Chagall. His images have a painterly look and reflect his continual pursuit of beauty. He is very committed to photography as art and always leaves part of himself in every image he makes. He truly believes that every photograph is a self-portrait.Eduardo has participated in gallery exhibitions at the Center for Photographic Art (Carmel, CA), Cherry Center for the Arts (Carmel, CA), Alvarado Gallery (Monterey, CA), Museum of Monterey (Monterey, CA), Center for Fine Art Photography (Fort Collins, Colorado) and has received various awards including a Spotlight award from B&W, Color Magazine, Shadow & Light Magazine, Art&Beyond Magazine, PX3 Prix de la Photographie, Black and White Spider Awards, and the International Color Awards among others.
