The Pipe Factory is a space for art which is dedicated to the production and dissemination of artists work and ideas. We run a public visual arts and learning programme that includes exhibitions, workshops, residencies, events and publications, provide affordable spaces for artists to work and opportunities to experiment and exhibit in a supportive community environment.Programming Committee: Tavienne Bridgwater, Daisy Douglas, Lucas Ferguson-Sharp, Marcus Jack, Lindsay Mylet, Stephen Sheriff, Simon Weins, Jack Wansbrough, MollyMae Whawell.Past Committee Members: Kirsty Allan, Esme Armour, Sam Desantis, Amanda Graze Hamilton, Sonja Hufton, Rachel Levine, Luca Nasciuti, Laura Plant, Katie Shannon, Jo Sweeny, Abigale Neate Wilson.Director: Verity HockingPast Directors: Beth Dynowski, Genevieve Gourlay, Alexander Storey Gordon, Steven Grainger, Amanda Graze Hamilton, Nick Walker.The Pipe Factory have worked extensively with our design team 40 Osbourne (a combination of INCH and Marc Kilkenny Architecture), Armour (quantity surveyors) and Design ID (structural engineers) over the last couple of years to bring these plans to fruition. The contract work was carried out by Archibald McCorquodale & Son Ltd and Timber and Lime Conservation Ltd, for the roof and windows respectively.We now have a 30 year lease in place, and a new programming committee was established in November 2016 to curate a programme of events, exhibitions, and residencies to make use of our new spaces.
