The Portuguese Bakery Started with a family in a small garage back in the 70's a stones throw away from where we are today, the bakery has never left Santa Clara, Ca. Serving neighbors, friends and family from there cozy home it soon grew to much to keep a secret. The irresistible taste grew to strong to keep there hearts and tummies content with just a few bites during the holidays if they were lucky enough to get any. Soon the wait was to long for the holidays to get there hands on the golden bread and cookies and the demand grew. Hungry tummies and un satisfied in between holidays and festivals it pushed them to open a bakery on Main St. Santa Clara, Ca. In 1977. And the bakery hasn't left Santa Clara since!. Passed on from one entrepreneurial family to the next. The spirit and sense of cultural pride and determination since the 2000's has helped keep us in business using traditional flavors and a little creative with new flavors we have continued the success.Having fought hard from day one to keep a small cultural family bakery alive and thriving with potential it is time to take a new step to be ahead of the curve and create a stable high quality, profitable, great priced bakery, delivering a taste of traditional baked goods, cuisine and fine food products that will last into the future. We will continue to bring the taste of home to so many as we have for so long.
