Religious Groups - New Holland, PA, us
In 1996, a ministry for men struggling with addiction was created, and by 2003 it became known as The Potter's House. The ministry became a place for individuals leaving local and state prisons with no family or resources to help them transition. In 2011, Transition to Community, a similar residential program for men, merged with The Potter's House, and the ministry grew to include three residential houses with rooms for 20 men. In 2019, The Potter's House built a new Phase One center and purchased a facility for a Women's Program. The Potter's House approach to addiction recovery and discipleship is and always has been Christ-centered. By providing a safe place, our students learn how to adjust to a new lifestyle that leads to spiritual and relational restoration.Since 1996, nearly 700 students have joined the residential program. Because of our donors and volunteers, our students find employment, overcome their addictions, and experience the transforming power of salvation through Christ.
