To fulfill its mission of addressing the fundamental human needs of food, water, and peace, The Prem Rawat Foundation (TPRF) has developed a variety of programs and initiatives:Peace for PeopleTPRF works to advance Prem Rawat's message that peace is possible for each individual––that peace is both an inner resource and innate right. TPRF's Peace for People initiatives include international events with government, education, and business leaders to promote understanding of individual peace as the basis for world peace. Peace Education Program (PEP)TPRF has developed the Peace Education Program (PEP) to help people discover inner resources such as strength, choice, and hope as well as to explore the possibility of personal peace. The course has been presented in 70 countries at a large variety of organizations and community groups, including colleges, youth programs, adult education programs, hospice centers, retiree centers, prisons, and rehabilitation programs. Food for People Program (FFP)Taking an innovative approach to helping people in poverty-stricken communities, TPRF has developed Food for People (FFP), a model program that provides hot nutritious meals in the local cuisine to children and ailing adults. Opened first in Bantoli, India, in 2006 and then in Tasarpu, Nepal (2009) and Otinibi, Ghana (2012), the program has been credited with improving community health, dramatically increasing school attendance, and inspiring a growing sense of hope in the communities served. The efforts of TPRF are funded by the generosity of donors from over 50 countries. Most of the staff, including the Board of Directors, are volunteers. 100% of donations designated for a specific program are allocated to that program. TPRF is a 501(c)3 non-profit charity under US tax code, and receives high ratings from both Guidestar and Charity Nagivator for its commitment to transparency, best management practices, and allocation of resources.
