My name is Dennis E. Schroader Sr. I am a retired Army Medical Service Corps officer with 24 years of service.I created The Price of Freedom Foundation to serve the families of those who die while serving in our nation's armed forces.The service we provide honors and preserves for current and future generations the life story of those who paid the ultimate price for our freedom.Working with the surviving family and friends, this organization collects the stories and remembrances needed to write a full biography of their fallen loved one. These biographies are published, and archival quality copies of the hard bound book provided at no cost to the family. Print and eBooks are made available to extended family, friends, and interested members of the public at regular retail prices. A documentary series will be made to bring these stories to a much larger audience.Why is this needed?Everyone has a story. Military survivor families almost universally feel that their loved one has been forgotten, and their sacrifice not honored, six months to a year after their passing. I believe this is a tragedy that does not need to continue. I believe that every person who gives their life in service to our nation deserves to be known and remembered. I believe the best way to do this is to tell their life story from beginning to end in as many media and as wide an audience as possible.
