Pro Hoops began in 2004 as a private basketball training program catering to elite adult athletes. We launched our youth program, Drill & Play, in 2011, when we were approached by the Manhattan District Attorney's office. The program focused on reaching at-risk youth in neighborhoods impacted by crime and gang violence. Inspired by the success of the D&P program and the opportunity to expand it to additional youth in underserved neighborhoods, we established a nonprofit arm of our organization in 2016, legally known as The Pro Hoops Foundation. Our mission is to empower youth with the skills and tools they need to be successful on and off the court.
