From virtual short courses to self-study tutor-guided courses and e-learning modules, we cover the whole range of publishing disciplines, including digital, editorial, marketing, project management, people management and rights. PTC courses provide specific learning outcomes designed to make an immediate, positive difference back at the office. All our tutors are practitioners first and foremost, which means that they bring their real-world experience with them to the courses they teach, enriching the experience for students and making the courses more practical.We are the only not-for-profit organisation solely focused on delivering training courses for the publishing industry.The charitable foundation established that the core objective of the PTC was to provide cost-effective and high-quality training for publishers in the UK and overseas. PTC's work is overseen by a dedicated Board of Trustees, who have a broad range of experience and expertise in the publishing industry. Initially the training division of the Publishers Association, the PTC became independent in 1976 under the auspices of The Unwin Trust.
