Our select team of travel tastemakers is completely unbiased. We don't take any form of compensation for covering a venue on our site. When reviewing a venue, we pay our own way and keep our research mission hush-hush, assuring no one gives us preferential treatment in pursuit of a favorable review. Most of all, we aim to make our assessments as honest as possible because we want you to enjoy your visit to our featured cities as much as we enjoy ours!The company was born out of a passion for travel, a love of the world's great cities, and a desire to spread the word. Our founders Emily and Jenn have been traveling internationally together for over a decade–with purple-colored passport covers in tow. After amassing a wealth of knowledge about the best of the best across the globe, they realized there was no resource out there that adequately served travelers like them: hip, worldly, and highly discerning.
