R.A.R.E. (Restoring America through Recovery Education) is non-profit foundation that provides under-served communities with a solution for success. We take a comprehensive approach because we believe prosperity begins with financial education (R.A.R.E. HBCU ), includes supporting Veterans and continues with education and long-term support for the Formerly Incarcerated (Freedom 500).RARE HBCU:College students have enough to worry about without the stress of a poor credit profile. Since the Parent PLUS loan program was modified in 2011 to tighten credit eligibility, many families have found it difficult to obtain a Parent PLUS loan. We must empower students and their families with better Credit Profiles!RARE Veterans:This program will transform the lives of Veterans and empower them to take control of their economic future. This may seem simple, but you must acknowledge that most social issues are a result of economic problems. Give them the opportunity to be empowered.NYC Freedom 500:NYC Freedom 500 provides credit counseling to the pre and post convicted population. Our goal is to help those who are currently incarcerated, as well as returning citizens, restore their credit and achieve financial wellness.
