The Record Shop Tv began as an event (The Sound Lounge) on the second floor of the legendary record store, The Sound of Norristown. A few amazing bands and singers convinced the event producer, Marty, to bring in a camera the following week and film the action. Fast forward two years and The Record Shop airs weekly on Comcast and Verizon FIOS in the City of Philadelphia to over 15,000 viewers and to a worldwide constituency of early adopters and trendsetters via The Record Shop Tv website. The show tapes in a world class television studio once per month and several times per month deploys its camera teams to find, and shine a spotlight on the most innovative, original and under appreciated bands, singers and songwriters in the number one and four media markets in the United States.
