Legal Services - Singapore, , Singapore
The Recourse Initiative (TRI) is an initiative founded in 2012 - then known as The Innocence Project (Singapore) - by a group of law students from the National University of Singapore (NUS) to provide recourse and serve as a safety net for individuals who claim that they have been victims of wrongful convictions. TRI's central objective is to minimise wrongful convictions through appropriate legal channels and within the framework of Singapore's criminal justice system. Beyond engaging in case work, TRI seeks to achieve its aims through outreach programmes and conducting legal research.
