Innovate - Relay holds educational events at partner schools that equip youth with the team, the tools, and the techniques necessary to exceed expectations at our Invest Step. Youth learn how to build a business plan, conduct Life-Cycle Assessments for their inputs, and develop marketing, sales, and branding strategies. Partner organizations will educate students on other linked topics, such as ‘Using Technology for Social Good'. Incubate - At our yearly California Community Challenge, Relay sources the experiences of local and global business leaders, community innovators, and serial social entrepreneurs in order to provide actionable feedback for our youths' business plans. Local startup services also sponsor items such as office space, legal assistance, and long-term mentors. Finally, Relay chooses teams that we feel are most able to grow and invest in them so that they can begin doing great things. Invest - After our Challenge, Relay executes our support plans for each funded team by bringing in community lenders, Challenge sponsors, and governmental initiatives in order to grow these youth startups into profitable, job-creating, community impacting businesses. Impact - With those businesses that have proven their assumptions, shown success with their business model, and have the added ability to grow their work throughout California, Relay allows a variety of exit options such as Direct Public Offerings or acquisition.
