The Resourceful Quill was founded more than seven years ago as a private freelance writers' service. We count established, serious writers around the world among our authors, including literary journal editors, freelance writers, professors, playwrights, doctors, advertising executives, attorneys, IT specialists, dancers, veterinarians, small business owners, architects, and business project managers. Writers work collaboratively with a professional editor who understands the mindset of the writer, progression of the craft of creative writing, necessity of revision, attention to detail, impact of structure in self-expression, and nuance of phrase that can make or break the essence of the finished piece. We maintain the highest personal standards of excellence while maintaining a unique flexibility to accommodate time-sensitive requests. Barbara is intractably adamant about the privacy of her authors' writings and considers herself as guardian of that work. Barbara holds an MFA in Creative Writing, poetry discipline, from Fairleigh Dickinson University. A published poet, her work has appeared in Sanskrit, Wisconsin Review, and iris: a journal about women, and her short essays have been printed in The New York Times and The Record. She has read her poetry at Cornelia Street Café in NYC, and although unable to attend, was invited to read at a poetry festival in Moscow, Russia.
