The Risen Refuge, a Free Methodist congregation in Jersey City, offers members - and visitors - a chance to become part of something eternal: The Work of God in His Kingdom. To grow in their love of God and for one another because of the Love of God alive in them. And from this Love received grows the desire to show our Love for our Heavenly Father through acts of service in our church and in our community.What started as a Sunday meeting to meet the needs of the second and third generation of English-speaking children of the Arabic-speaking Eastern Christian Free Methodist Church has grown into it's own congregation doing the work of Christ in and around Jersey City. Those who began in what was called Youth for Christ, have grown over the years to have regular Sunday meetings, prayer groups, outreach ministries, annual conventions and more. The Risen Refuge is about the Children of God doing the Work of God.We Love because He First Loved Us - 1 John 4:19
