We are Juraj and Julia, a.k.a. The Runaway Couple. We are by all accounts just an ordinary couple who decided to put our lives hold for a moment and traded the luxury of having full-time jobs for living out of our backpacks hoping to see some of the the most amazing places on Earth, meet some interesting people and hopefully experience some crazy adventures along the way to share with you.Why the name The Runaway Couple I hear you ask? Well, this is an interesting question and the answer is quite simple and obvious. We are a couple who decided to run away (together). Well, that and because all the other cool blog names were already taken.Like most people, we've always loved travelling. Seeing new interesting places, the smells of unknown food, meeting new people and broadening your horizon by experiencing the weird and wonderful of different cultures. Who wouldn't love that? In summer 2014 we went on what was supposed to be just an ordinary two-week vacation in Thailand. Instead, we absolutely fell in love with the country and with the idea of backpacking.It was then when we thought that we want more and promised ourselves that maybe someday we'll go travelling too…And so full-time travel became our little dream.And then maybe someday slowly stretched to almost two years…Finally in late April 2016, after saying one too many maybe someday, we finally committed to the idea of ditching our lives and just go travelling instead. This was by far the scariest and at the same time the most liberating decision ever. Where we're planning to goWe'll be starting our trip in Paris before moving on to Prague for a few days and then to Budapest from where we'll set off to Southeast Asia.Once there, we would like to visit Thailand, Laos, Vietnam, Cambodia, Malaysia, Indonesia and Philippines.
