Hospital & Health Care - , ,
The Shaw Foundation is an exempt charity. Its principle objective is to provide the best possible health and social care services for those who most need them. We want to see the quality of care and compassion that we would all demand for our loved ones, to be embedded in all services. Our aim is to focus on clearly defined priority areas of investment, which will be developed through consultation with other organisations, including charities and universities. This will include investment that could be made jointly and which has the maximum potential to effect change and improvement across the care sector. The Foundations' priority areas have been agreed and include: Dementia Care, End of Life Care, and Workforce Training and Development. The Shaw Foundation achieves its Aims by making Loans or Grants to individuals or organisations specifically to enable them to initiate, develop, implement and operate projects which are expected to achieve the Foundations objectives. The Shaw Foundation is managed by a Management Committee, whose Members are therefore its Trustees.
