In every community there is a 75% missed opportunities for elderly persons to receive much needed help due to financial constraints, lack of primary biological or non-biological caregiver, lack of knowledge on the sign and symptoms of morbidity that would require prompt medical attention. Moreover 65% of elderly persons suffer from food, hygiene and psychological related morbidity. We feel elderly persons are too precious to lose, without health and social care most of them will continue to die from preventable and Non-communicable diseases.The Shelter for Carer's Organisation is committed to offer Health and Social services to elderly persons in Siaya, Kenya. As volunteers we are passionate about ensuring that each cohort of elderly persons receive much needed health service not withstanding their personal or relative ability to pay for the service rendered.We will provide services such as1. Clinical consultation and Treatment 2. Medical convener and representation services.3. Medication purchase and issuance 4. Social Welfare services5. Compassionate palliative Services.6. Resident and Non-Resident short stay at the Senior's Community Shelter 7.
