The Shoreline Center for Autism & Developmental Disorders provides assessment and comprehensive behavioral treatment program for individuals with autism spectrum disorders and other pervasive developmental conditions. We offer a range of individual and group services for children, adolescents, and adults with social and behavioral challenges.We work closely with other programs such as your child's educational team and other providers to facilitate complete and coordinated care. We take into account your family's priorities and concerns, as well as those of your child's doctors, schools, and other community services, when treatment planning. We work closely with providers in the community to ensure that your child's care is well coordinated, community-oriented, and family-centered.We are expert clinicians in the provision of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA). ABA is an evidence-based, systematic intervention utilizing theories of learning, operant conditioning, and behavior modification (positive behavior supports) to improve upon socially significant behaviors. This means that goals and objectives are determined based on functionally adaptive skills and social improvement. We also seek to reduce challenging behaviors that interfere with learning and overall health and well being while teaching new, functionally equivalent behaviors. We also utilize Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), social skills training, and structured social and educational curriculums to support interventions.
