The Silverball Podcast was created during the summer of 2007. At this time, there were two active podcasts covering pinball, but none seemed to be dedicated to discussing topics for those just discovering the joy of collecting pinball and video games for home gamerooms. Still reliving their childhood, Rob Craig and Steve Rothschild created The Silverball, covering pinball (both past and present), industry and collector interviews, and 80's & 90's pop-culture. The podcast has received praise for its audio production, integration of 80's pop culture, and overall fun atmosphere by the audience. In May 2011, new episodes resumed after an 18 month pause in production. The show is now published about six times a year to an audience of over 2500 listeners.
