The Social Butterfly Effect is a podcast prerecorded and produced in Oakland, California. The Social Butterfly Effect is based on the marriage of two common theories: The social butterfly, and the butterfly effect. Combined, this dynamic theory states that within any given system an individual that chooses a path outside of stereotypes, expectations, and traditional values, has the propensity to ripple through time and slowly, but surely, change the existing perceptions within the world. The Social Butterfly Effect is for anyone that found themselves battling between their roots and their present reality. We told ourselves to choose a path of that could be understood by the masses…that ends now. For those who seek to shatter the mold of what society has expected for you - S.B.E is an archive of stories that's common thread is struggle, resilience, and healing. I believe our own healing and creative expression is found through sharing stories and opening safe spaces to listen, ask questions, and learn from each others experiences with the intention to understand. I created this platform in 2019 to elevate the narratives of First-Generation, Second-Generation, and Diasporic creators and innovators all around the world. By sharing these perspectives, my goal is to show the value of living in a dual reality at all times. I want to inspire others to actively search for these communities in top level positions across all industries. I believe that individuals who come from a variety of backgrounds bring a massive value in building culture and purpose to those who are seeking to also build a purpose driven company.
