The Society for the Advancement of Sexual Health (SASH) is a nonprofit multidisciplinary organization dedicated to scholarship, training, and resources for promoting sexual health and overcoming problematic sexual behaviors. The Society for the Advancement of Sexual Health (SASH) is the only organization dedicated specifically to helping those who suffer from out of control sexual behavior. Founded in 1987 by Patrick Carnes, Richard Santorini and Ed Armstrong, SASH began as a membership organization for people concerned with sexual addiction problems. Today SASH has an international membership.SASH has a two-fold purpose:1. To provide up-to-date research and information to our members, many of whom are professionals and work with people who struggle with sexual addiction and compulsion 2. To provide pertinent information and education to the general public
