Founded in 2007 by renowned surgeon, Dr. Gail Lebovic, The School of Oncoplastic Surgery (SOS), a 501 (c)(3) nonprofit, provides an opportunity for surgeons to immerse themselves in knowledge alongside world-renowned pioneers in oncoplastic surgery.The SOS focuses on the importance of the multi-disciplinary approach in the pre-op assessment and the practical elements of how to perform Oncoplastic procedures. Didactic lectures feature experts in breast surgery (oncology & aesthetic/reconstructive surgery), radiology, radiation oncology, pathology, and the psychosocial aspects of breast care. A coding specialist will also be part of the faculty and will be available for the duration of the course to answer questions.
