The Solar Fight Club Details
Solar Fight Night is the largest social club in the US solar energy industry. Started in 2009, the event is curated by industry veterans to bring together a mix of original industry founders/CEOs, new start-up leaders and up-and-coming industry talent. The focus has always been: making introductions to help get projects done! Almost 20 Solar Fight Night events have now hosted over 6,000 attendees and raised meaningful funding for solar non-profits. The growth of the solar energy industry has not been easy. A decade ago, the industry hardly existed, with a total US market of just a few hundred MWs per year: clients saw solar products as new and risky, banks were hesitant to finance them, utilities shied away at the economics and technology… meanwhile incentive schemes came and went, creating ups and downs as industry participants struggled to persevere. Even now, entrenched interests and trade-wars threaten project economics. Solar Fight Night celebrates the industry we love, and the people putting in the good Fight to push forward in the face of adversity! We are a group of professionals that knows nothing can or will stop the energy revolution, because the people on our side of the Fight are passionate, dedicated and will find creative solutions to ensure good renewable, low-carbon energy technologies win the war.
