The Specialists Ltd is a full service prop house based in New York City. Since moving to our new 45,000 square foot facility we have enhanced our products and services to new levels. Current services we have offer include:• Over 500,000 in-house props, and in the new facility this amount will continue to grow. • With 15,000 Theatrical firearms, The Specialists has the largest selection in the country. Our inventory ranges dramatically from Paleolithic flint knives to modern Russian T-90 Tanks.• Licensed Armorers and weapons experts on staff to assist with the coordination and performance of any weapon stunts or fight scenes. • Comprehensive Special Effects Department including: Pyrotechnics like blood/dust hits. Atmospheres like fog machines and rain towers. Rigging for flying stunts• Fight Choreography Department led by the well-known Fight Director/Coordinator and movement coach Nigel Poulton• Fabrication department that is capable of creating Safe rubber molding, life casting, 3D printing, and customized electronic devices• Graphics department capable of designing a variety of items from license plates and chair backs to custom laser cutting and engraving, X-Ray transparencies, and 3D rendersToday, The Specialists provides a wide range of media outlets with prop rentals, custom prop fabrication, consulting services and on-set weapons coordination (including safety, supervision, training, and maintenance). Not only do we service the film and TV industry, we also work with advertising firms, ballet companies, photographers, theater troupes, and university art departments. Since founded in 1981, The Specialists has equipped over 1000 feature films as well as countless TV series, commercials, plays, operas, photographic spreads, gallery shows, illustrations, book covers and video games.
