Hospital/Clinic - Boston, MA, US
WHAT WE DO: We help our residents in achieving long-term recovery and independence through individualized care that encourages them to create a balanced schedule, practice life skills, establish a solid 12-Step program foundation, address mental health and health issues with outside resources, and reintegration into the community through the attainment of vocational, volunteer and/or academic goals.WHO WE WORK WITH: We work with males (18+) who have recently dealt with or are currently dealing with addiction and are looking to better their lives by creating new, empowering, and productive lifestyle changes that will lead to long-term recoveryWHY IT WORKS: We know that to obtain real, life-changing results, it has to come from the residents' own desire to better themselves. We simply create the environment that gives our residents the opportunity to do the work in recovery. Program expectations are intended to empower each resident to begin to access that internal motivation and to accomplish personal goals that can lead to long-term recovery and create lasting change within themselves.WHAT MAKES US DIFFERENT: Many programs utilize similar treatment plans and length of stay requirements for all residents. What sets The Strathmore House apart is our unique ability to customize services, mutual-help meetings, structure and length of stay to the needs of the individual. While the staff is available for support in this process, it is important that residents are able and willing to be accountable for their daily responsibilities. This allows residents to feel ownership over their care and to integrate more effectively back into their lives and the community.WHAT OTHERS SAY: "Would never hesitate to send a client to Strathmore. They have an amazing staff, hold accountability, and offer a safe and productive environment to stay sober and get people on the path to long term recovery." - Beck Gee-Cohen, Owner - BGC Consulting
