Hailing from the great state of Michigan, Joshua moved to New York City in 2005 to work in identity design at Landor Associates. In 2008 Joshua was awarded a Fabrica Fellowship, at the Benetton Group's communication's research center in Treviso, Italy. There, he worked with a range of NGO's, museums, and social organizations. Other focuses included generative systems and interactive work. Following his residency he served as a designer and art director for Colors Magazine. Published in 4 languages, Colors was established in 1991 under the editorship of Tibor Kalman, with the premise is that diversity is positive and all cultures have equal value.Returning to New York in late 2010, Joshua has partnered independently with a range of clients and design organizations, focused primarily with technology, publishing, retail, social and cultural activity.Joshua received his Bachelor of Fine Art in Graphic Design from Western Michigan University. Through the course of his studies he attended design and typography courses at the School of Art and Design in Basel, Switzerland, and a summer curriculum working with Studios Lust and NLXL in The Hague, Netherlands. He 2012, he received a Postgraduate Certificate in Typeface Design from Cooper Union.
