Farming - Fargo, North Dakota, United States
Based in Fargo, N.D., The Sugarbeet Grower magazine works to serve the nation's sugarbeet industry. Founded in 1963, it is the country's longest running sugarbeet trade publication. The Sugarbeet Grower is published nationally six times per year to sugarbeet growers, sugar company employees and other members of the industry, including those of the USDA and universities. Over its 50+ year life, The Sugarbeet Grower has been managed by just three editors. It began with Al Bloomquist, who inaugurated the publication and operated it until the 1980's when Don Lilleboe took the regeign. After a 31 year tenure, Don handed things over to Mike Spieker in September 2016. The Sugarbeet Grower has an online home at SugarPub.com, which features past issues and daily sugarbeet and ag news.
