Alternative Dispute Resolution - , ,
The Swedish Consumer Bureau for Telecom, TV & Internet is an impartial independent organisation that provides free information, guidance and assistance for telecom, TV and Internet consumers. We can also act as a mediator between individual consumers and telecom, TV and Internet operators. We forward the consumer problems we detect on the market to the telecom, TV and Internet operators. Where appropriate we propose generally accepted industry practice. By gathering information on consumer problems and the need for information we create a knowledge base that is valuable to consumers as well as telecom, TV and Internet operators. The Bureau is owned by the Swedish IT and Telecom Industry Association and is financed by the telecom, TV and Internet operators who have chosen to support the agency The bureau's board comprises representatives of telecom, TV and Internet operators and the state. The state is represented by the National Post and Telecom Agency and the Swedish Consumer Agency. The authorities and industry representatives have an equal number of votes on the board, and one of the state authorities has the casting vote if this is necessary to facilitate a decision on the bureau's operations.
