We looked at the symptoms of burnout and created a concierge model that make sense for business. It Started With A Family of DoctorsAs a family of doctors, we experienced first-hand the effect that time-deficiency can have. In medical school and the medical field, there is a culture of work that lends itself to burnout. It's almost impossible to reach a good work-life balance. In recent years, each of us began to find a better balance. Some of us got so good that we began coaching other doctors, studying the symptoms of burnout. We also started to see hospital systems begin using concierge services to try and alleviate the challenges we were facing. We Partnered With Concierge ExpertsWe spent about two years meeting with concierge providers and business owners to understand how we could positively impact the lives of employees while adding value. We looked at the services that made sense and how to make them as efficient as possible. We Looked at The Cost-Benefit OpportunityWe also looked studied how time was being lost. One study published in Fortune magazine from 2017 showed that the average employee uses their phone 56 minutes a day to handle personal items. The projected cost to employers was not just time; it also takes employees out of their work flow and adds stress. We Then Leveraged The Right People & Technology To Increase EfficiencyMaking true concierge services work in today's market involves a clear understanding how to make processes more efficient and how concierge services needs to be done. We partnered with some of the best people in software development, high-end sales and the hospitality business. We brought all these brains together to create a sustainable model for providing creating more time.
