It is a constant battle for many families to survive and scientists to find a cure for cancer. As stated by the American Cancer Society, in 2005 the estimated cancer related deaths was 20,860. Part of that statistic, was our mother, who after a remarkable 5 year battle with breast cancer, lost her fight at the young age of 38.When we look back on our mother's life, the main thing that we remember is the brave fight she put up and her remarkable courage. The overall experience of her cancer battle and death has made us into the people we are today, and it has changed our views on many things. Our mother taught us through her fight, to never let something, no matter how big or small, get in the way of life. Many people will be affected by the disease, but we all have the power to come together and help put an end to cancer.
