The Think Of Michael Foundation is a MA-based 501(c)(3) non-profit organization providing sober house scholarships to people in financial need battling substance use disorders. Established in 2018 by the Dalton family after Michael Dalton tragically passed away from an accidental opiate overdose while in outpatient treatment. Michael's parents, Richard and Carmela, along with brother Jamie and sister Stacey, partnered with Magnolia New Beginnings, an established nonprofit led by NY Times Best Selling Author and Recovery Advocate Maureen Cavanagh. Jamie and Richard Dalton also are co-founders and Board Members of Recovery Works, a non profit affiliate of Massachusetts General Hospital and the West End Clinic that focuses on workforce re-entry for professionals who have been out of work and in treatment and need help getting back in to the workforce. We recently were instrumental in obtaining a $200,000 federal grant for the pilot program.
