ThinkChina is much more than just an internship program - our objective is to provide a "China Experience". Apart from the opportunity to intern for some of the most exciting companies in Shanghai, our students get to learn and practice Chinese with the locals and visit various tourist attractions in Shanghai and surrounding cities. Last year our students also learned basic Tai-Chi and how to cook traditional Chinese cruisine such as Xiao Long Bao. The reason we want to include internships in our program is because we think anyone can be a tourist in a country for a few weeks; but to truly experience a country and its culture, you need to "live" there. And working is big part of living. With the rising of China, many foreigners are thinking about moving and working in China once they graduated from college. But how will they truly know if China is suitable for them? Will they fit into the working environment and culture here? This is what we want them to find out themselves, by "living" here, not just as a tourist.
