Founded by Dr. Kao Kim Hourn and Dr. Haruhisa Handa, The University of Cambodia opened in June 2003, and is officially recognized by the Royal Government of Cambodia, The Ministry of Education Youth and Sport, and the Accreditation Committee of Cambodia (ACC). UC is also a member of the Cambodian Higher Education Association and holds the motto, "In pursuit of knowledge and wisdom, and building tomorrow's leaders."The University of Cambodia provides students the option to study in two language tracks in unparalleled academic programs, including Associates, Bachelor's, Master's and Doctorate degree programs in the following six colleges and four schools: 1- College of Arts and Humanities 2- College of Education 3- College of Law 4- College of Media and Communications 5- College of Science and Technology 6- College of Social Sciences 7- The Tony Fernandes School of Business 8- The Techo Sen School of Government and International Relations 9- The School of Foreign Languages 10- The School of Creative Arts
