Unplug, at its core, is a place where Black and Brown womxn and non-binary folks can share their stories about existing in their bodies without being silenced or censored. Whether it be about mental health, body image, fatphobia, medical discrimination, gender or something else, any story that gives us your valued and often untold perspective about living in your body is something you should send to us! We prioritize working closely with you to publish your stories about existing as a Black or Brown person because we believe that each of us holds tremendous power to both educate and inspire. Our hashtag #YOUDESERVEMORE speaks to our goal to uplift marginalized people through storytelling so we can all understand AND believe that we are not to blame for the lack of representation and understanding in society surrounding our identities. A virtual safe space, a digital healing circle, a budding high fashion magazine, it's impossible to summarize Unplug's work in one phrase especially as we do new work and push boundaries.
