Fund-raising - Aston, Pennsylvania, United States
The Victoria Rose Fund was created in 2011, by Victoria's brother Mike, in which the fund started out solely for helping Victoria's family with the financial burdens that come with cancer diagnosis. Victoria was 21 years old when she began battling Medulloblastoma (A Childhood Brain Tumor) Brain Cancer. Suffering for almost 2 years, she went through numerous surgeries, treatments, and procedures; some major processes were intense Radiation, Chemotherapy, Intense Radiation (Proton Therapy), Blood Transfusions, Spinal tap, Shunt Placement and Removal, Ovary adjustment and multiple Brain surgeries. We come together as a community each year and honor a local family/indivdual suffering physically, mentally, and financially from Cancer diagnosis. Insurance only covers so much and we try to raise as much as we can through our annual Beef and Beers benefits. We rely solely on individual, monetary and In-Kind donations.
