The Visiola Foundation is a 2016 Google RISE Award recipient and has been funded by Cargill Corporation (UK), Schneider Electric, and ACT Foundation. It previously received in-kind support as a partner organization of Intel Semiconductor West Africa and Young Engineers. The Foundation was invited as a Goalkeeper by the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation to its annual summit in New York in 2018, and has also been recognized by the United Nations Academic Impact (UNAI) and the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) as an organization that is helping to drive the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Other partners include Cellulant, Quantum Technology, and Cinoteck. The Visiola Foundation also partners with the Abuja FCT Secondary Education Board (SEB) to educate, train, and mentor girls and young women from underserved and disadvantaged backgrounds in the fields of science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM), and trains them in Robotics, Electronics, Mechanics, Computer Programming, and Mobile App Development to design and launch viable tech-enabled enterprises. Graduates of its programs have become tech-enabled entrepreneurs, have accessed high-wage jobs, have gained admission to global universities to pursue STEM degrees, and have been recognized nationally and internationally in STEM competitions such as the Technovation Challenge, World Science Scholars, and UNESCO's Youth-led Energy Futures, among others. The Foundation was launched in 2014 and runs programs in Ghana and Nigeria in West Africa. It has a Board of seasoned and respected professionals who provide strategic direction and fiduciary oversight.
