We are Castro Valley High's FIRST (For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology) robotics team. We, as the hybrid born this year of the old PLTW and robotics clubs, have a goal to give students a place to learn more about STEM, primarily focusing on the Science and Engineering aspects. The skills we learn here vary from basic engineering skills, like coding, wiring, welding, and manufacturing, to non-STEM skills, like business, scouting, marketing, and many more. As a team, we are excited to learn more, and to compete in the upcoming FIRST competition in January. All of us are thrilled for the year to come, and all the experiences to be made. However, this is not just a team, but a family of students, who are ready to stand strong at the competition.
