Life in the modern world is hard. Our information-rich world is a cesspool of contradictory advice, advertising algorithms, and outrage-producing news. It doesn't have to be this way! There is another way to live. A calmer way, that doesn't require constant rage or stress. This is what I write about. My inspiration for this newsletter comes from two old, dusty quotes: "Life, if well lived, is long enough." -Seneca "Living well is the best revenge." -George HerbertTaken together, I believe that these quotes light our way home. It's an old, demonstrably true cliche that no one on their deathbed wishes they'd spent more time chasing money. A successful life should not be measured in years, it should be measured in the satisfaction we derive from living it! Satisfaction means different things to different people, but our purpose in life should be to find that satisfaction and hold on tight. "If you do follow your bliss you put yourself on a kind of track that has been there all the while, waiting for you, and the life that you ought to be living is the one you are living. Follow your bliss and don't be afraid, and doors will open where you didn't know they were going to be."― Joseph CampbellLiving well is an act of revenge and rebellion against a twisted system. Let me remind you of what's important in an age of endless noise!
