The Wicked Cake Company has built a strong reputation for providing high quality, long shelf-life, ambient storage cake products to both the food service and the retail sector. Founded in 1991 by Christopher, Edmund and Richard Bliss. The three brothers owned a delicatessen and sandwich business in Cambridge. In order to solve the problem of finding high quality cakes, they decided to make use of the kitchen space above the shop and bake their own. The result of this enterprise was an exciting and original range of high quality tray cakes. Wicked Chocolate Biscuit Cake rapidly acquired cult status and responding to increasing demand, the business grew and the company began supplying other catering and retail outlets in and around Cambridge. The ‘Wicked' word soon spread and the brothers found themselves supplying cakes across the entire UK.In 2009, the company acquired BRC accreditation Grade A and has maintained this ever since.In 2011, The Wicked Cake Company moved to a new, purpose-built 22,000 sq ft factory in Haverhill, Suffolk providing the necessary space to meet the constantly growing demand from customers throughout the UK.
